THE ROLE

As the Student Mentor Support Manager, you will design and deliver the company’s program for supporting the engagement, belonging, and success of marginalized youth with chronic absence. As the content expert, this individual creates the systematic model of evidence based support the corresponding training for our team of student mentors.  Student Mentor Support Manager is responsible for the ongoing process of continuous quality improvement, through collaboration with company leaders and district partners. This role works within the Curriculum & Training department directly reporting to the Director of Curriculum and works closely with FIeld Operations department to ensure high-quality programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Design and Implementation of the company’s evidence based model of student support to address chronic absenteeism.  
  • Training Content Development and Delivery Oversight  Development of training model to include Student Mentor on boarding and ongoing training model.
  • Consultation and Collaboration with department leadership, district staff, school administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on program goals and objectives. Maintain ongoing interdepartmental communication to ensure alignment and scalability. 
  • Oversight of Continuous Quality Improvement and Progress Monitoring: Develop systems to assess, track, report, and disseminate program impact to ensure impact and inform refinement.
  • Leadership, supervision and evaluation of Elevo Student Mentor Training Manager
  • Administrative Tasks and Other Duties as Assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with marginalized youth in developing proactive supports.  
  • Experience creating effective mentorship programs for marginalized youth including training programs for adult learners and data systems for progress monitoring of program impact.
  • Travel 5-6 days per month for onsite support and district meetings


Preferred:

  • Master's degree in a related field (i.e. social work, psychology, education)
  • Expertise in culturally responsive teaching and school climate including restorative practices.
  • Adept at the application of Implementation Science in public education settings including student study teams, special education, tiered supports, data collection, and progress monitoring. 

Skills, Knowledge, & Traits:

  • Skills: Adult learning, adept at building impactful programming that is scalable across regions, but personalizable for school and district leaders. 
  • Knowledge: The wellbeing of marginalized youth including but not limited to; mentorship; trauma informed education; culturally responsive teaching; multi tiered systems of support (MTSS); restorative practices; transformative Social Emotional Learning (T-SEL); crisis de-escalation; and evidence based supports to address chronic absenteeism. 
  • Traits: The manager is a flexible, optimistic, and collaborative hard worker who is committed to equity, building community, and creating success for students who may otherwise not have the opportunity. 

This position's target annual base pay range is $75,000 to $80,000. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors including, but not limited to, experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, and skills.
