THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Specialist to join our team, focusing primarily on event marketing and social media engagement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable experiences, a keen understanding of social media platforms, and the ability to contribute to various marketing initiatives as needed. You will play a vital role in promoting our brand, driving engagement, and supporting the overall marketing strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Planning and Execution 
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing team members to plan and execute a variety of events including trade shows, internal company events, and promotional activities.
  • Manage logistics related to events, such as venue selection, vendor management, registration, shipping, and on-site coordination.
  • Support event marketing strategies to maximize attendance and engagement.
Social Media Coordination
  • Post engaging organic content for social media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and marketing goals.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement opportunities, and community building.
  • Create and execute paid social advertisements on Meta, LinkedIn, and other platforms as necessary.
  • Analyze social media metrics and work with the content and design teams to adjust strategies as needed to enhance results.
Collaborative Project Support
  • Assist with various marketing projects, such as email campaigns, content creation, and market research.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms.
  • Assist with on-location photo and video shoots.
  • Help develop and maintain a content calendar for social media and events.
  • Support other projects, as needed. 
Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare post-event and post-campaign reports. 
  • Identify and analyze competitors’ social media and event strategies.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Post-secondary degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field or equivalent certifications in marketing, digital marketing, or relevant disciplines are preferred. Relevant experience in marketing or a related field will be accepted instead of formal education.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on events and social media.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of social media and digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Proficient in creating and coordinating projects and information within Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook) or Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail).
  • This is a remote role but it requires the ability to occasionally be in-person at our San Diego and Irvine, California offices. It also requires the ability to travel (mostly within California) around 20% of the time.
 
This position's target annual base pay range is $68,700 - $72,000. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors including, but not limited to, experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, and skills.
