Job Summary
The Product Documentation Specialist is someone who is detail-oriented and organized. The ideal candidate will focus on creating, updating, and maintaining clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly documentation to support our product releases. As a Product Documentation Specialist, you will work closely with the Product and Customer Support teams to ensure our product information is accurate, accessible, and useful for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Documentation Development: Create and maintain user guides, FAQs, release notes, and other resources to support the product life cycle. 
  • Content Updates: Regularly review and revise documentation to ensure it reflects current features, capabilities, and user feedback. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Customer Support to gather information for accurate documentation. 
  • Customer Feedback Integration: Engage with customer feedback to continuously improve documentation quality and relevance.
  • Release Support: Assist in documenting key changes, new features, and user impact with each product release, working closely with Change Management and Support teams. 
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on documentation usage, readability, and accessibility metrics to assess the effectiveness of the content. 
  • Template and Standards Development: Help establish and maintain documentation templates, style guides, and standards for consistent, professional documentation.
  • Version Control: Manage and maintain documentation files with version control to ensure up-to-date resources are available for team use. 
  • Customer Support Assistance: Collaborate with the Customer Support team to address customer inquiries related to documentation, helping to clarify product information and directing customers to relevant resources. Directly assist customers when needed.
Qualifications: 
  • Experience: 3+ years in a role focused on product documentation, technical writing, or a related field. 
  • Technical Writing Skills: Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and well-structured documentation tailored to diverse user needs. 
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all documentation efforts. 
  • Basic Project Coordination: Ability to manage multiple documentation projects with minimal supervision, ensuring timely delivery. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with documentation or project management tools, such as Microsoft Office, Confluence, Asana, or similar platforms. 
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, change management practices, and HR technology systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS)
This position's target annual base pay range is Non-exempt $60,800 - $75,900. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors including, but not limited to, experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, and skills.
