The Role
The Training Designer is responsible for designing high-impact, performance-driven learning experiences that translate strategy into measurable behavior change. This role creates asynchronous courses using modern authoring tools, develops engaging ILT and VILT training materials, and builds structured learning journeys that accelerate proficiency across roles. 

The Training Designer partners cross-functionally to ensure all training is relevant, operationally aligned, culturally responsive, and designed for real-world application.

Responsibilities:
  • Learning Experience Design
  • Design role-based learning paths, certifications, and onboarding programs
  • Develop blended learning experiences (ILT, VILT, microlearning, on-demand)
  • Create asynchronous courses using advanced authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise, etc.)
  • Build ILT decks with detailed facilitation notes and scripts
  • Develop facilitator guides, job aids, toolkits, and performance support tools
  • Incorporate assessments, scenario-based learning, and personalization to accelerate proficiency
  • Align content to operational goals and measurable business outcomes
Program Development & Ownership
The Training Designer plays a key role in designing and supporting the following learning initiatives:

Ongoing & Monthly
  • Program Calibration (monthly)
  • VILT content creation and delivery
  • Monthly Coach Training (MCT)
  • Sport of the Week Training (VILT)
  • Student Wellness ongoing professional development (2 hours/month)
Asynchronous Course Creation
  • Phases 1–3 Coach Training
  • Role-based certifications
  • Sales and Marketing Enablement training
In-Person & Intensive Trainings (ILT)
  • Training of Trainers (including May role change training)
  • November 11 Full-Day Intensive
  • Summer Pre-Launch Training
  • TK/K In-Person Training (3 hours pre-launch + 3 hours mid-year)
  • Student Wellness Training (60+ hours annually)
Performance & Iteration
  • Analyze learner data and field performance metrics to refine training content
  • Iterate and improve courses based on operational feedback and outcomes
  • Ensure training materials reflect current curriculum, systems, and field realities
  • Partner with SMEs and stakeholders for validation and sign-off
Position Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Expertise in adult learning theory and instructional design methodology
  • Expertise with Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise), Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond, and AI narrating tools such as WellSaid.
  • Ability to design culturally responsive, inclusive learning experiences
Skills, Knowledge, & Traits:
  • Strong writing skills for scripting, facilitation notes, and job aids
  • Data-informed mindset focused on performance impact
  • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives across seasonal cycles
This position's target annual base pay range is $40.87 – $45.67 per hour. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, and skills.
