Youth Cheerleading Coach  - Twin Rivers Unified School District

Schedule: Part-time, Seasonal, Tuesdays to Fridays 1pm-6pm and Saturdays for 2 hours between morning to afternoon  
Location: Various school sites within the Twin Rivers Unified School District
Expected Hourly Rate:  $19/hr

THE ROLE

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Below is a non-exhaustive list of the physical requirements for this role.

  • Must have the ability to constantly move about to accomplish tasks or move from one place to another
  • Must have the ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, and running
  • Must have the ability to move safely on irregular and or uneven terrain

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engage students in SEL & PE curriculum
  • Certify mandatory instructional minutes required for the program
  • Facilitate, demonstrate, and participate in games with students
  • Supervise different activities with groups of students such as games and distributing snack
  • Create a safe learning environment while implementing strong behavior management skills on the field
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guardians and all facility members
  • Basic understanding of operating and navigating modern technology
  • Act as a positive and inspiring role model
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service for all students and school staff
  • Follow COVID 19 protocols outlined by the school

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Cheerleading experience
  • 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching or child development strongly preferred
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age
  • Completion of mandatory MDR training and any district required trainings
