The Role
The Senior Trainer, Field Development, is a senior-level training leader responsible for building, certifying, coaching, and evaluating trainers of coaches across the state.

Operating within a Train-the-Trainer model, this role ensures scalable, high-quality training delivery, strong behavior management standards, and consistent program implementation across regions.

Senior Trainers both develop trainer capability and personally deliver critical statewide training through Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) and In-Person Instructor-Led Training (ILT).

This role works within the Training Team that reports into Field Operations and directly reports to Director of Training, Field Development.

Core Purpose:
  • To strengthen and scale field excellence by:
  • Training and certifying high-quality trainers of coaches
  • Delivering high-impact statewide training initiatives
  • Ensuring consistent and effective training delivery across modalities
  • Monitoring implementation fidelity and behavior management standards
  • Managing QA systems tied to training and program execution
  • Serving as the structured feedback loop between field, training, and curriculum
Responsibilities:
  • Training & Certification (Train-the-Trainer)
  • Deliver onboarding training for newly hired FTEs
  • Design and maintain the Trainer Certification process, including:
    • Facilitation competency standards
    • Adult learning expectations
    • Certification benchmarks
    • Observation and evaluation tools
  • Certify FTEs as trainers of coaches
  • Observe trainings and provide structured coaching and feedback
  • Maintain certification records and progression tracking
Training Delivery (Statewide & Regional)
Senior Trainers directly deliver high-impact training across multiple modalities:

Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
  • Deliver virtual training sessions to FTEs and field leaders
  • Ensure strong engagement and adult learning best practices in virtual environments
  • Lead virtual rollouts of new programs and updates
In-Person Instructor-Led Training (ILT)
  • Deliver Site Manager Training (ILT)
  • Lead Summer Pre-Launch Trainings (ILT)
  • Facilitate May Training related to upcoming year program changes
  • Model best-in-class facilitation practices for Elevo trainers
Program Calibration Leadership (Monthly)
  • Lead monthly Program Calibration sessions
  • Ensure alignment across regions regarding:
    • Behavior management expectations
    • Program fidelity
    • Training delivery standards
    • Operational priorities
  • Address inconsistencies and reinforce standards
  • Use calibration sessions to strengthen FTE alignment and performance
New Program & Annual Change Rollout
  • Lead training for annual program updates and strategic shifts
  • Train individuals on changes for the upcoming year (May Training)
  • Ensure clarity of messaging, expectations, and execution standards
  • Align rollout execution with business priorities and operational goals
  • Support trainers in cascading training effectively to coaches
Quality Assurance & Field Oversight
  • Manage QA systems related to training delivery and implementation fidelity
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and implementation reviews
  • Monitor:
    • Training completion rates
    • Certification compliance
    • Program implementation quality
    • Behavior management consistency
  • Identify performance risks and escalate patterns requiring intervention
Feedback Loop & Continuous Improvement
  • Serve as liaison between Field, Training, and Curriculum teams
  • Identify trends across regions requiring training or curriculum refinement
  • Provide structured field insights to inform VILT and ILT content updates
  • Continuously refine certification and calibration processes
Success Metrics
  • 100% of trainers are successfully certified and re-certified
  • Training delivery quality scores (VILT + ILT observations)
  • Program Calibration alignment metrics
  • Coach training completion rates
  • Program fidelity audit results
  • Behavior management consistency indicators
  • Successful adoption of annual program changes
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in training facilitation (both virtual and in-person)
  • Strong VILT delivery capability
  • Experience operating within a Train-the-Trainer model
  • Coaching and performance feedback expertise
  • Quality assurance and implementation oversight experience
  • Travel required
Preferred:
  • Experience as a Coach working for Elevo
  • Advanced facilitation expertise

This position's target annual base pay range is $71,000 - $80,000. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, and skills.
